SPM - System Protection Module

SPM - System Protection Module

The SPM protects the system from external transients by providing a “specific path” for currents to flow to ground in the case where the pipeline potential exceeds the normal utility ground. The SPM provides a convenient and safe path for excessive current to flow to ground bypassing the sensitive electronic circuitry in the RTU or other electronic device.

XARTU-CPM-Interrupter-Cathodic Protection Monitoring

XARTU-CPM-Interrupter-Cathodic Protection Monitoring

The XA-Series CPM-Interrupter (Cathodic Protection Monitoring) provides for reliable monitoring of your CP Rectifiers that meets or exceeds current DOT / DOE mandates. The CPM greatly reduces time spent doing monthly checks of CP rectifiers by remotely monitoring rectifier station voltage, current, and pipe/structure-to-soil potentials. Programmable interruption schedules using common Global Positioning Systems (GPS) time synchronization provides for precision shut down for on / off corrosion surveys. Monitor status is reported using any of today's wide variety of wireless methods of communications including LEO Satellite, CDMA, GPRS / GSM Cellular, Spread Spectrum Radio or Microburst Cellular. An optional 2400bps modem is available as ...
